A voice forged by life.
Born in Kankakee, Illinois, Tony Carpenter has been writing music since he was twelve. He started in rap, sharpening lyrics on a notebook before he ever stepped behind a mic. By eighteen he was performing live, building a stage instinct that today carries him across Country, R&B, and Hip Hop — sometimes inside a single song.
His work is pulled straight from lived experience: love, family, loss, the grind, and the city around him. Nashville sharpened the country in him without dulling the soul or the bars.

It's in the DNA.
The music didn't start with Tony — it was handed to him. His great-grandfather Leonard Reed started a family legacy that ran through his grandmother Mellody Reed and her siblings — singers, born, as the family says, with a mic in their mouth.
His mother Frances sings too, and features on one of Tony's upcoming releases — a full-circle moment three generations in the making.
Youngest of three, Tony carries that lineage in his phrasing, his tone, and the unfiltered honesty of every take.
